Global direct sales company eyes West Midlands expansion following recruitment milestone success
Global direct sales company Vorwerk is looking to expand its West Midlands sales force after hitting its target to establish a team of sales advisors and create 20 new jobs across the region.
The company, which has a 3billion annual turnover and opened its UK head office in Balsall Common in June this year, is now looking to expand its sales force in the next quarter and create an additional 20 jobs.
Vorwerk sells the high-end Kobold VK200 vacuum cleaner online and through a network of sales advisors. The company recently enjoyed its most successful month of sales in the UK to date, with total unit sales hitting six figures for the first time in September.
Charlie Freeland, Branch Manager at Vorwerk UK said:
“Since opening our UK head office and training facility, we’ve established a strong network of direct sales advisors and have been able to create new employment opportunities for people in the West Midlands.
“The flexible working hours have meant that our sales advisor positions have proved extremely popular, and we look forward to expanding our sales force with another round of new recruits.”
Eric McClenaghan, Vorwerk UK sales and marketing director, added:
“We have ambitious plans for Vorwerk in the UK that are in line with the record sales numbers we have enjoyed over recent months.
“The West Midlands is a key activity hub for us, and we are pleased to be able to create further job opportunities across the region as we expand our presence in the UK.”
Vorwerk, which counts celebrities including TV property expert Sarah Beeny and consumer journalist Alice Beer amongst its fans, has aimed its Kobold VK200 vacuum cleaner at homeowners who like to combine the latest cleaning technology with a device that actually does what it says on the tin.
In September, the company announced that the multi-functional vacuum cleaner – marketed as the ‘Ultimate Homecare System’ had achieved full accreditation from the Good Housekeeping Institute.
It provides jobs for over 600,000 people worldwide, of whom 40,000 work as product advisors across its household appliances division.
